Tereza managed to boost her career and just got an amazing job offer

Tereza is from the Czech Republic, she studied International Relations at University and had the opportunity to work in London and Prague, focusing on Digital Marketing. Her last role was Senior Digital Manager, leading a team of 6 people, focusing on international campaigns and clients for a large marketing agency. She wanted to progress in her career, but according to the feedback received, she needed to improve her technical knowledge and overview.

When she went on Maternity Leave with her second daughter, she decided to dedicate some time to learn more about digital tools, coding, new tech etc. She attended local courses on Java and Python, but she needed something more comprehensive that would take less time. She enrolled for the Summer of Code as a "Do It Yourself" member, and completed all 13 weeks. After this she looked for new opportinities, updating her CV with the new superpowers she'd just gained. She received an offer from one of the top Consulting Firms to work as a Digital Marketing Consultant. During the Weekly Community Update from 1 Million Women to Tech, streamed on November 2nd, 2018 , she shared with our community her success story:

"Topics and skills learnt, helped my CV to stand out, I was confident to talk with expertise during the interview. The confidence gained during the Summer of Code helped me as well during my salary negotiation"
